Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She graduated with an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in theater, film and TV. Aunjanue. Ellis began acting in the theater. Then, she appeared in television shows as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. Her professional acting debut as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway, she has appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In terms of her career in movies, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. On television, her part in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
